Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends,
As you have probably heard, I have decided to leave my position at your International Association permanently. Indeed, I now need to focus all my attention on the different career possibilities that are open to me, and I cannot honestly say that this would be compatible with the personal investment that the duties of President of the CPA require.
I therefore wanted to thank you for your availability and the trust that you have shown me during the 2 years that I have been President. With my personal touch, I hope that I have managed to convey my vision of modern cycling, not only in my relations with the authorities but also with the media, who have become aware of the role of the CPA in the international arena.
I have always wanted to bring your concerns to the fore, by giving you the possibility to express yourselves by developing internal communication while intensifying the CPA’s presence at competition sites in particular. More recently, I have worked for new members to be able to take part in governing the CPA. Thus, the United States, Australia, England, and the Scandinavian and Eastern countries should finally be able to sit on the CPA’s executive committee and contribute to making your Association more cohesive and more international.
My wish is that my successor will be able to count on your collaboration to ensure that the CPA is governed to the satisfaction of the many, in a spirit of goodwill.
I wish you all a happy festive season and every success in the rest of your career.
Best wishes.
